Cotton crop condition in United States (by Oct 22, 2017)

By the week ending Oct 22, about 87% of cotton bolls has been opening in U.S., up 5% from prior week , down 5% from last year and 4% from prior five-year average, according to USDA. About 37% of cotton is harvested.

Crop condition was 5 percent very poor, 9 percent poor, 30 percent fair, 42 percent good and 14 percent excellent.
