US weekly cotton export for week ending Apr 6, 2017

Net upland sales of 307,200 RB for 2016/2017 were up 14 percent from the previous week, but down 6 percent from the prior 4-week average. Increases were reported for India (88,800 RB), Turkey (75,100 RB, including decreases of 2,000 RB), China (42,800 RB, including decreases of 4,000 RB), Indonesia (24,600 RB, including 600 RB switched from Japan and decreases of 300 RB), and Bangladesh (22,800 RB). Reductions were reported for Mexico (6,100 RB).

For 2017/2018, net sales of 204,200 RB were reported primarily for China (129,400 RB), Pakistan (39,600 RB), and Indonesia (11,900 RB). Reductions were reported for Japan (12,400 RB) and South Korea (300 RB). 

Exports of 438,400 RB were down 2 percent from the previous week, but up 13 percent from the prior 4-week average. The primary destinations were China (81,800 RB), Turkey (79,200 RB), Vietnam (53,100 RB), Indonesia (37,100 RB), and Pakistan (34,500 RB).

Net sales of Pima totaling 9,700 RB for 2016/2017 were down 33 percent from the previous week and 34 percent from the prior 4-week average. Increases were primarily for China (5,600 RB), Bangladesh (1,300 RB), South Korea (900 RB), and Japan (800 RB). Reductions were reported for India (100 RB). 

For 2017/2018, net sales of 11,500 RB were reported for Pakistan (8,500 RB) and China (3,000 RB).

Exports of 19,800 RB were up 23 percent from the previous week and 68 percent from the prior 4-week average. The primary destinations were India (7,000 RB), Vietnam (3,200 RB), China (2,500 RB), Peru (2,000 RB), and Pakistan (1,500 RB).
